Six Settings (2018)

February 05, 2018

Performance by New Thread Quartet of my work "Six Settings" for Saxophone Quartet.

This work explores six algorithmically composed settings of saxophone quartet material. Settings one, three, and six focus on different colorings and orchestrations of the material. Settings two and five make use of probabilistically-generated rhythms to present the material. Lastly, section four is an energetic presentation of a melody spawned from the material with syncopated accompaniment.
